BBT is currently hiring a Technical Director (TD) and Performance Assistant
Stage Manager (PASM).

TD (Position for BBT as a whole)
- familiarize him or herself with all sound and light equipment and be available for any troubleshooting
- present at design run-thru, technical rehearsal, and dress rehearsal
- provide designs for items requiring new construction and make them available for directors and stage managers
- coordinate necessary strikes and load-ins with PSM and ensure that all off-site storage is maintained
- responsible for cataloguing all scenery and make available for directors and stage managers
- coordinate with Carpenter and PSM for any necessary builds
- make sure that all performance scenery is complete and available for the first tech of any given episode (or
earlier if the director requests)
- should be available to coach the stage manager on necessary troubleshooting for issues that may arise
throughout each run
PASM (Position for BBT production of The Ville)
- attend technical rehearsal and dress rehearsal to familiarize him or herself with the show and any duties during the run of The Ville
- be available before and following each performance to help SM and Props Master
- assist with setting up house furniture & curtains for performances
- assist with setting up Green Room & props performance
- assist with setting up scenery before each performance
- assist with putting away props and scenery following performance
- assist with taking down curtains & restoring Mary’s Attic to pre-performance condition
NB: must be comfortable with climbing ladders, lifting up to 50 pounds, and a fast-paced environment
Intern 1 (Assistant to the Company Manager)
- must be comfortable with Microsoft Office Suite
- assist with basic CM functions, (i.e. preparing handbooks/contracts)
- assist with auditions (scheduling/running/returning followup actor emails)
- assist with
The Ville season opening company meeting
- be well organized and willing to take on projects/assist CM with CM maintenance
- assist with actor conflicts (reading at rehearsal when actor has conflict, etc)
- assist with CM communication/followups via email
NB: knowledge of or willingness to learn CoffeeCup web design suite is greatly encouraged
Development Intern
Development Interns will work extensively with the Director of Development and the Co-Artistic Directors to support Bare Boned Theatre's productions of
The Hecubae and The Ville.
- researching individual, foundation, and corporate donors
- assisting in the development of written materials including letters, reports, proposals, and invitations
- organizing and implementing plans for fundraising events
- data entry and other general office tasks
- other duties as assigned.
Candidates must have strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office; excellent writing skills; the ability to multi-task and work within a team
environment; and the focus to take on independent projects. 15-20 hours a week, both daytime and evening, schedule flexible. Reliable internet access
preferred.
PR/Marketing Intern
PR/Marketing interns will work with the Director of Marketing and the Co-Artistic Directors to promote and build audience for
Bare Boned Theatre's productions of The Hecubae and The Ville. PR/Marketing interns will focus on internet marketing, PR,
and sales, as well as assisting in reaching out to press and audiences. Prospective interns must have excellent verbal and
written communication skills and should be knowledgeable in Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience in journalism, marketing,
or graphic design is a plus. 15-20 hours a week, both daytime and evening, schedule flexible. Reliable internet access
preferred.
